Stacie from the Bettendorf Hy-Vee came to talk to the ACAP camp about how to eat healthy and stay in shape. She gave us a picture of the food pyramid and showed us there are 20 teaspoons of sugar in a 20 oz. bottle of soda. She also showed us food and how unhealthy food that we eat is for us.

The pyramid had all the food groups like meat and beans, vegetables, fruits, dairy, grain. If you eat at the table you won’t be so hungry. Also if you have more colors on your plate it is even healthier for you. She gave us some chips and they happened to be very good and healthy for you.

Stacie had a whole table of unhealthy food. But some of the food was good for you. The best thing for you is fruits and veggies. They will give you great things for your body in return
