My experience in Iowa City started at 9:00. It all started when we arrived at the Journalism Building. We met Vannessa Shelton and Julie Koehn. Then we did a scavenger hunt around the building. We had to find the constitution, our favorite word on a statue, the best view of the Capitol, our favorite spot in the building, and lots of other things.
Then after we did that we learned from student speakers. They told us their experience in The University of Iowa. Then they took us to The Daily Iowan center and showed us their work and broadcasting center. Then they told us that they love what they do and then we left to eat.
We left to go eat. The place was like a food palace. It was like a food mall! It was pretty awesome. I counted the stuff and meals I ate and it ended up to be a big number (13). I thought that since I didn't have to pay for it I thought I could (and I would) take advantage of it. I ate cereal first because I didn't eat breakfast! Then I ate regular meals.
Then it was our ride home. I sat with my friends Kristen Bertram, and Summer Dillon (for half the way because it got too hot) Then she went to sit with Maddie
H. and Abby K. On the way there and on the way back I did my
summer education book to learn. But on the way there I played
the Spelling Game.
When we got back it was 3:05 so my parents were there. I went from the bus to the car. When I got home I went swimming, and that was my experience in Iowa City!
