Once we reached Iowa City I saw a lot of amazing things like my favorite restaurants, Subway, McDonalds, and Jimmy Johns. The first building we went to was the Adler Journalism Building. It was huge. When I first walked into the building Vanessa Shelton led us to the classroom where she talked about her career. Vanessa Shelton is the director of the Iowa high School Press Association and Quill and Scroll. She also runs the summer journalism workshop.

Julie Koehn is a student here at University of Iowa she has been there for two years so far. Julie is majoring in journalism and psychology. Julie hopes one day she will work for a magazine company and have her own photo studio one day. Julie has faced a lot of challenges through high school and college. Julie was in her junior year of high school in a fall journalism conference when she decided for sure what she wanted to do

Erica grew up in Davenport all her life and attended Central high. Erica worked for Mrs. Buttleman.

It was a fun and it was a great experience says Erica Binegar. Erica is metro editor of the Daily Iowan. It is very stressful and difficult Erica states, but worth while. Erica's older sister inspired her to interest in journalism. Erica didn't know what she wanted at first, that's why she came to University of Iowa. Erica finally knew what she wanted to be a journalist.

Jason Brummond is the editor in chief. Jason started off being a sports reporter as a freshman in high school. Jason did sports for a couple years, and then he went back to reporting anything, not only sports. In high school Jason took an editing class. Jason said he really enjoyed himself. Jason earned scholarship, and he is proud of his progress, says Jason. Jason attended Iowa high school. Jason was 19 when he decided what he wanted to do for his career. This is Jason's 5th year of college studying to be a journalist. Jason is majoring in journalism and business management. Jason is 22 and doing well he has made a lot of progress over the hard and stressful years, but he made it through just fine.
