band

It’s time again for another marching band season and students
involved are enthusiastic about their new show.
“Our show is exciting this year,” co-captain junior Samantha Baehr said. “It’s
different from past years but I really like it.”
The 2007 marching band show, titled “The Odyssey,” is based off the epic
adventure written by Homer.

One misconception young athletes have is thinking one player can win or lose a
game, but if someone is not setting the picks, making the blocks, setting the
ball or passing the rock there is no glory moment.
A great play takes teamwork. Who is to say the person that made the pass, block,
set or pick should not be more glorified than the person who actually scored the
points?

Knoche lends medical support
Steve Knoche has been the athletic trainer here for 23 years. He
has seen six head football coaches come and go.
"Knoche has been here for so many years and knows what he's doing," student
athletic trainer Zach Schreiner, "he's an inspiration to me."
In high school Knoche played freshman football, and realizing that it wasn't for
him, decided to become the student athletic trainer.
