Blue Angels lose a great man

Sarah Larson
The United States Navy precision flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, lost one of their finest on Saturday, Apr. 21 at an air show in Beaufort, South Carolina. The pilot killed was identified as Lt. Cmdr Kevin Davis, call sign “Kojack.” The crash occurred when the Blue Angels’ six F/A-18 Hornets were rendezvousing behind the crowd in preparation for their final maneuver. Davis’ aircraft did not join the formation. Instead, his aircraft suddenly dipped down and fell out of the sky, disappearing under the tree line. The plane crashed into a neighborhood killing the pilot and injuring eight people on the ground. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
