A problem while playing at P.V.

Chris Jones
It was a cool fall night Oct.6 at Pleasant Valley stadium. The football team had just scored a touchdown.

The student section went crazy pushing and shoving. Then they yelled, “form banana, form form banana; form banana, form form banana.” Getting excited they continued to yell, “Peel banana, peel peel banana; peel banana, peel peel banana.” After a slight pause and everyone shouted and shoved each other around. “Go bananas, go go bananas; go bananas, go go bananas.”

The idea came from seniors Kyle Jewel and Kent Igelhart, who modeled from the Duke University student cheering section called the Cameron Crazies, who brought unprecedented devotion to Duke basketball games. The name Marshall Maniacs became an obvious choice.
