Imagine the pressure to succeed when filling in for a widely known player. This is just one of the tasks that male athlete of the year, Zach Kenyon, has taken on during his athletic career at the school. Kenyon is a student athlete who did not back down from any challenge that came his way. As an athlete who performed at the top of his game when needed, Zach Kenyon defines the title male athlete of the year.
Boys tennis team advance to state

The boy’s tennis team qualified for state after defeating defending state champions Iowa City West in the sub-state finals May 19. The state tournament will be held May 29 in Cedar Rapids.
“Today’s effort, everyone was at their absolute peak ability,” Coach Larry Jacobsen said after the win. “It was a total team effort as each of our members scored us a point!”
